This is the piece that started it all... coming up on 10 years ago! It is now very worn, discolored, and missing some stones, but it is still an important part of my journey.
I clung to this necklace during a challenging time and used it to remind myself that I was strong, I was amazing. That was something I needed daily reminders of for a time in my life when I was learning how to be a new mom while working full time, nursing, and realizing it was all WAY harder and different than I thought it would be! I wore it every day for many months. It was like putting on my armor for the day to keep me going and keep me from doubting myself. I could take it with me wherever I went...and eventually, I didn’t need it anymore.
I founded Find Your Joy Today because I know there are a lot of hurt and struggling women out there. The hardest part sometimes is finding a way to believe in yourself and continue reminding yourself of that until you have no choice but to believe it. Mental strength plays a big role in that battle until you are strong enough to believe in yourself naturally.
That necklace served as my visual and physical reminder whenever I needed it. I want to offer women their own sanctuary and permission to move past being stuck in their challenge and choose to move forward. I want to give them a simple yet subtle tool to help them through their struggles and hurt (and hey, it’ll help them look good while doing it). I want women to succeed, and I want women to feel amazing, because we are! Thanks for reading our origin story. I hope one day we can serve you, too.
